Strategic Planning Committee Needs You!
Quadra Village Community Centre is beginning the process of creating a strategic plan for the organization. The board and the centre are calling on the community (volunteers, staff and community members!) to join us in creating a strategic vision and plan for the future of the centre.
What is a Strategic Plan?
A strategic plan is a process of defining an organization's current state, determining the direction of an organization and what the organization envisions to look like in 5 - 10 years. The process creates specific goals, a clear strategy and priorities, and will guide an organization's decision making.
Why this matters?
Quadra village community centre currently does not have a strategic plan in place. This is an opportunity to review the accomplishments of QVCC and guide the future of the organization. A good strategic plan will guide future decision making of the organization.
What do I have to do as a committee member?
Attend strategic planning committee meetings
Help consult the community
Assist with collecting and accumulating responses
Guide the strategic planning process
Openness to the process and helping facilitate discussion, were some other key words that came to my mind
Time Commitment 8-10hrs/month (approx. 2hrs/wk)
