Celebrating 50 Years of Making a Difference

Quadra Village and Blanshard Community Centre is celebrating 50 years of making a difference in the heart of the Neighbourhood

Quadra Village Community Centre, formerly Downtown Blanshard Advisory Committee, formed as a non-profit in 1974 to meet the needs of the surrounding community. The Centre has grown to facilitate services that support a variety of needs, stretching from pre-natal, to childcare and youth development, to senior support, as well as resources like food distribution, technology access, and a clothing room.

Throughout the years, Quadra Village Community Centre has become the heart of the neighborhood thanks to the help of many enthusiastic and involved community members, staff, and volunteers. The open house will be a place to come together and celebrate while commemorating past and present impact, as well as future plans for the Centre in the Hillside Quadra neighborhood.

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Since 1974 our preventative and responsive community based programs have helped make change close to home. We like to believe that our Centre is for everyone, as we do our best everyday to provide programming for folks from all age groups and walks of life.

As a non-profit, we heavily, and primarily, rely on funder support to keep us operating. We hope that you can support us in continuing to nurture community well-being, and provide vital resources and supports to those who need it most.
