Call for Board Members - AGM Sep. 27th

Hello all, I hope you are enjoying the end of summer and the transition to fall. I know Tara has sent out reminders but just another one, we are looking for more board members! 

The Annual General Meeting is September 27th, this month leading up to this event is important because it allows many people to get familiar with the organization and then join at the AGM in the fall. 

Do you have a neighbour, family friend or community friend that you share similar ideas with? Have you talked to your neighbour about what they would like in their community? Invite them to come to a meeting or encourage them to ask someone from the board or message the website and inquire there: https://www.qvcc.ca/contact-us 

Specific board activities include strategic planning, working with city of Victoria, monthly meetings and frequent email correspondence. 

Exciting things that being a part of the centre include access to free store, new art hub? several garden spots and direct connection to community. 

As a newish member of the board for the past two years, I have found it enjoyable and rewarding. I feel thankful to have awesome neighbours to discuss things with and keep me engaged at the community level. I hope that we can continue to grow the board, the more the merrier!
